shut up….Mr. Geelani….

Some of the separatists leaders of Hurriyat Conference try to bring the name of Amarnath at the drop of the hat.Their fixation about Amarnath yatra has crossed any logical explanations. Now, they want to fix the tenure of yatra to just 15 days. Amarnath or Amreshwar as it was known in the past, has mention in some of the books like nilmata puran and Rajtarangni.Pakistan backed Demagogues are beating their chests, and trying their best to give the false coloring to the History of Amarnath. No surprise, they have met with little success as yet.
clever as fox, they had another trick up in the sleeve, they have come up with other sensitive issue, environmental hazards by the influx of large number of devotees of Shiva. Pressure on environment can not be ruled out. But single out Amarnath is no justification. Blaming Amarnath solely for the degradation of environment smells like a dead rat to me. Separatists new found love towards environment needs some real justification.
Fact is that 10,000 trees were cut and 30,000 wild lives destroyed to construct Mughal Road. Is that not destruction of ecology…should we blame it on Amarnath!!!Why haven’t The so called Islamic zealots turn environmentalists ever raised their voice against the molestation of water bodies of Kashmir viz Dal Lake, Nagin Lake, Wullar Lake, Manasbal Lake and now extinct Anchaar lake.
Has Amarnath encroached The great lakes of Kashmir? Has amaranth created the numerous illegal floating islands of Dal? Lakhs of people, economically poor people, are living illegally on these floating islands and other water bodies. I challenge Hurriyat leaders to raise their voice against them. Show the world that they really are environmentalists to the core..
Is Amarnath responsible for shrinking the sizes of great Kashmir lakes to the half of their size as compared to 50’s or 60’s.Has Amarnath drank all the water of Anchaar lake which has now become a part of history books .Are these Islamic zealots so myopic that they cannot see the Barren Zabarwan or many other mountain ranges, who have been robbed of their precious timber. Has Amarnath Smuggled out all the timber?
What about the environmental hazards which other tourist places like Gulmarg, tangmarg and many other such tourist destinations have to face due to the influx of tourists both Indian and foreign. Has these bigot leaders guts to raise their voices against the influx of tourists to these places? The answer is a big No!!! Fact remains that tourism is the single largest segment which gives livelihood to lakhs of Kashmiris. Every year lakhs of Kashmiris pray to Almighty that more and more tourists should come to Kashmir. Tourists who come to Kashmir spend money like wastrels and don’t mind to loosen their wallets.
Environmental issues are serious to be deliberated upon, whole world is waking up to this long neglected but serious issue. Arctic ice is melting, Antarctica is melting, so are other numerous big and small glaciers, most of them may have witnessed negligible human activities. This is the stark truth of 21st century. Global warming has become a reality and no one can deny the implications of Global warming. Whole world has joined hands to fight the menace of global warming. can we blame Global Warming solely on Amaranth yatra?

now few lines for Mr. Geelani…
Mr Geelani’s, was it your love for the environmental cause, that you and your pakistani masters hounded us out of the valley and killed tens of hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits. the forced exodus of 4 lakh Kashmiri Pandits mave have swelled your chest with pride ,and I am sure your can now shout at the top of your voice, and tell the whole world that it was out of your and Hamid gul’s love and concern for the fragile ecology… Sure some pressure eased by mass exodus of 4lakh pandits..
Mr. Geelani, I urge you not to poke your nose into the religious affairs of Hindus, that is none of your business.Your wicked thoughts have already taken a toll on your health and your body and mind has been diseased and you know that.If you are genuinely concerned about ecology, then you should raise other environmental issues, some of them mentioned above and not single out “AMARNATH YATRA” and confine it to just 15 days…Watch out your vicious thoughts & misanthropic actions, Mr. Geelani. …Wishing you a speedy recovery..

Geelani would like to keep the pot boiling after all it is his rozi roti.He should bow to Amarnath, as it was only due to Amarnath agitation in 2008 that made him the man he is today..
The fact can not be denied that Islamic fundamentalists will leave no stone unturned until thier dream of 100% islamization of Kashmir is acheived…..
carl marx has rightly said”religion is the opium of the masses”..

it appears to be a highly biased blog with most of the references to some typical concerns. I am surprised to find blood boil over Geelani Comment when for the last couple of days , Army is openly firing on your brethren and killing some.

I hope you, with the spirit of a true Kashmiri, open your blog to what it should be.

I agree with Manan, Geelani is a non entity even for the people whom he claims to represent and whom he is provoking to unreasonable and outdated forms of protest to press for their desires.

This particular post was written in response to Mr. Geelani’s unlogical remarks against Amarnath Yatra.
Chronological sequences of last three years reveal that Kashmir has to witness mayhem and bloodshed in the months of jun-aug which co-incidentally also mark the time of yatra. One can easily get to the conclusion that It is deliberate attempt by Pakistan and Pakistan backed separatists to incite hatred and bloodshed to disrupt yatra.
Magically post-yatra everything falls in line and the magnitude of agitations mysteriously subsides to1/10 as that in jun-aug.
As far as killings are concerned, Every K.P condemns the killings and we sincerely urge the respective govt’s at state and center to solve this problem as peacefully as possible. This appeal is also for separatists and armed militants.

I understand your concern but I believe that such outpours by leaders is not in the interests of the state but I am more worried about the toll of killings by CRPF reaching 8 and injury count more than 70 during last week. If appropriate action is not taken, the mass sentiment , which already has been abused, will go to a new boil.

Kashmir is burning and this is the time when all of us should stand together in solidarity.

Stability of India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Nepal,Afganistan,Thailand,Sri Lanka are very important for S.East Asia.At present all these countries are politically unstable and volatile.Economicaly all the above mentioned countries are among toppers from the bottom index of economic freedom and stability.Unless, the economic conditions improves substantially, till then we will witness voilence. The reasons for voilence, visible to eye, in these countries can mislead anyone.Kashmir is no different.Anyone can verify this claim by going through the list of civilians killed in these volatile areas .Only the economically weaker sections get killed(90%).The creamy layer, who are always at the helm escape unhurt.
This is not by chance, that all countries in Indian sub-continent, are prone to sudden voilent incidents resulting in killing of innocent civilian lives.

It`s very unfortunate that this blog is making mockery of Indian Gods & religion . No religion have any guarantee signs. what do you think that this kind of false allegations & killing hindus from times of Tuglaq , Babur, Nadir shah , Abdali & Tipu sultan will make a pure pakistani land . Even pakistan is facing war with baluch-pathan & taliban. MY QUESTION IS VERY STRAIGHT & SIMPLE TO ALL MUSLIMS THAT WHERE THESE MUSLIMS CAME FROM ? Answer– They are forcefully changing religion in south asia (India, Pakistani hindus,Indonesia e.t.c) . They are devils. we should stop this violence. They are illerate and wants only war.

Hmmm…. Amarnath yatra is bad for the environment. Perhaps, its time to consider the environmental impact of ammunition litter from the terrorists – would Gilani struggle against them? Or perhaps he would suggest that the Indian Army is more people and more litter, therefore, it should be abolished altogether?

In this whole mess, why isn’t anyone asking the real obvious questions? What were the parents of a nine year old child doing as their child faced bullets? If a parent couldn’t care less about their beloved child’s safety, why expect soldiers to care more? Seriously, should the Indian Army take charge for parenting as well?

I am not saying that the soldiers are without blame. All I am saying is that a nine year old child got killed. Perhaps callously by soldiers, perhaps in unthinking reflex. He got used worse by his own parents and so called community. As parents, it is our responsibility to care for the safety of our child, not volunteer them for our agendas and use the opportunity to blame the dangers in the world if they come to harm.

Another important question no one seems to care to ask is how is pelting stones considered non-violent.

Also, if killing of innocents is good enough reason to stop aligning with someone, I think the terrorists have ‘nailed it’ better. Militants/freedom fighters killed a mother and daughter in front of the father for approaching army medical services when their stupid strike didn’t leave them with options – these are common Muslims of Kashmir being forced to “support” the freedom struggle or else. Kashmiri Pandit sites are full of pictures of dead innocents killed by these freedom fighters in their own homes. Is that blood cheaper? The Mumbai carnage killed only innocents other than the terrorists themselves. Is that blood cheaper?

These people blaming the army for human rights violations have a voice to speak. The militants don’t offer options. Nor do they do a ‘freedom struggle’ without casualties.
